Each Core Box is a standalone, story-based campaign with many adventures. Essentially, you’re playing a story mode with tactical combat while uncovering the narrative. Mystling Academy boxes include two Mystlings and all the necessary components for tactical combat—both single-player and player-vs-player. These Mystlings can also be used in Campaign or Adventure Boxes. An Adventure Box is an expansion that includes new Mystlings and story content, but it requires at least one Core Box to play. Remember: all Mystlings from every product can be used both in story-based combat and player-vs-player battles!

The best way to begin is with any available Core Box—for example, Dragon Eclipse or Dragon Eclipse: Grand Quest. If you’re more interested in the skirmish aspect of the game, we recommend starting with a Mystling Academy box.
